TIB Tanzania – Supply, Installation and Maintenance of Solar PV Pumping System for Community Facilities

challenge

Limited access to reliable and sustainable water pumping solutions in rural areas poses a
significant challenge. Rural communities often depend on traditional methods that are
inefficient, unreliable, and powered by non-renewable energy sources like diesel, kerosene,
and grid electricity. These methods lead to high operational costs and contribute to
environmental degradation and climate change. Additionally, the lack of access to
dependable and sustainable water pumping solutions adversely affects daily living and
health, limiting the overall development potential of these rural communities.

outcome

By promoting the use of solar-powered water pumps, our efforts aim to provide sustainable
and reliable water solutions in rural areas. This initiative will not only enhance access to

clean water but also significantly reduce greenhouse gas emissions, promote environmental
sustainability, and improve the overall quality of life for rural communities. Our impact
extends beyond immediate water needs, fostering long-term benefits for health, daily living,
and the environment.
